This week is Refugee Week and the theme is Finding Freedom. This year, we’re also celebrating 75 years of the AMEP which many refugees benefit from on arrival. The AMEP plays a vital role in assisting refugee and humanitarian entrants to settle into Australia.
AMEP is funded by the Australian Government Department of Home Affairs.

Support older people in your life to have their say and be heard through the Commissioner for Senior Victorians’ Ageing Well Survey.
The campaign invites all Australians to commit to learning about racism and taking action against it. It urges supporters to reflect on the inequality racism causes, and to work within your sphere of influence to create meaningful change.
We would like to congratulate The Youth and Family Support Network which launched its anti-racism awareness video and evaluation report as part of the state government-funded “local Anti-racism program” with African – Australian communities.

The Connecting Carers Program supports unpaid carers achieve balance in their lives by providing them with one-on-one support in a range of areas including: providing information on carer respite programs; identifying opportunities for greater social engagement; enrolment in training or short courses; seeking employment that fits their carer time commitments.
