Basic Art will cover:
- Revising the key components and functions of the coffee machine and grinder
- Refreshing essential barista skills including extraction, milk frothing and safe operation
- Understanding how small changes in technique affect flavour, texture and coffee quality
- Learning and practising latte art techniques such as hearts, rosettas and tulips
- Exploring design principles for creating your own unique coffee art
- Finding inspiration for creative patterns and styles, including online visual resources
- Refine pours, troubleshoot issues and build consistency
- Presenting coffee professionally with a focus on communication, quality and customer experience
- Cleaning, maintaining and packing down the machine to industry standards
The class is 3 hours a week for 3 weeks.
If you’re enrolling into a Coffee class for the first time it can be hard to know which level to choose. For classes above the introduction level you need some skills first.

Classes are normally scheduled according to school terms and thus there are generally four intakes per year. If you don't see any classes listed below please click on the enquire button and we will contact you to discuss your enrolment options.
All classes are delivered at venues throughout Wyndham. Note: if a class is listed as online you will need to ensure you have access to a reliable desktop computer/laptop and wifi/internet. The fees listed below constitute a services and amenities fee which is non-refundable. When enrolling through the online system payment must be made with a credit/debit card.
There is an additional $15 resource fee in addition to the amount listed below.
We recommend the use of a computer/laptop/tablet when enrolling. Do not use a smart phone.
