Course Details Pre Accredited

This course is an introduction to coffee making using commercial coffee-making equipment. It is intended to develop confidence and skills to apply for work as a barista in a cafe.

Course Information:

Introduction to Coffee Making will cover:
  • identify and prepare different types of hot drinks
  • understand basic OHS needed by hospitality workers
  • understanding of how to use, clean and maintain coffee machines 
  • understanding quantities, ingredients, cup sizes and temperatures  size of hot beverages 
  • basic presentation and serving skills of hot drinks and using coffee art
  • customer service skills
  • preparation to apply for jobs in cafes

The class is 3 hours a week for 3 weeks.

Classes are normally scheduled according to school terms and thus there are generally four intakes per year. If you don't see any classes listed below please click on the enquire button and we will contact you to discuss your enrolment options.

All classes are delivered at venues throughout Wyndham. Note: if a class is listed as online you will need to ensure you have access to a reliable desktop computer/laptop and wifi/internet. The fees listed below constitute a services and amenities fee which is non-refundable. When enrolling through the online system payment must be made with a credit/debit card.

There is an additional $20 resource fee in addition to the amount listed below.

We recommend the use of a computer/laptop/tablet and not a smart phone when enrolling.
