This is a newly developed course which has been designed for people who wish to acquire the digital skills needed to run a small business online.
Online Skills for Microbusinesses acknowledges changes to the way people have worked in the last two years. Many people now choose to work at home and thus need the skills to set up and maintain a small business online. This course complements the “Webpage Design” short course and may also be of benefit to people enrolling in “MYOB” courses.
This course will cover:
What is a micro business and who can operate one?
How to build one’s business digital presence/ use social media
How to market and advertise a business in a digital world
The digital tools needed to keep a business running smoothly
Digital security, legislation and policies – rights and responsibilities of business owners and customers
The need for ABN and the importance of relevant ATO legislation
How to create and send invoices
How to manage finances digitally
The class is 3 hours a week for 10 weeks.
Classes are normally scheduled according to school terms and thus there are generally four intakes per year. If you don't see any classes listed below please click on the enquire button and we will contact you to discuss your enrolment options.
All classes are delivered at venues throughout Wyndham. Note: if a class is listed as online you will need to ensure you have access to a reliable desktop computer/laptop and wifi/internet. The fees listed below constitute a services and amenities fee which is non-refundable. When enrolling through the online system payment must be made with a credit/debit card.
We recommend the use of a computer/laptop/tablet and not a smart phone when enrolling.
