Some of many tributes from students and staff of Wyndham CEC after Sandy’s death.
Sandy, you left too early, bro. Thank you for everything you have done for me. You are beyond the best teacher I’ve had, like you were always there for me. I will forever be thinking of you. When I heard I was so upset. You will always be in my heart. Rest easy my brother.
Student.
Sandy, I can’t even begin to put into words what you meant to me. The bond that was there was priceless. I will never forget what you have done for me and I will always be grateful. You weren’t just a teacher, you were a friend. Most of all you were my family. You will always be in my heart, I’ll see you again one day brother, I love you and miss you.
Student.
Sandy, I still can’t believe you’re gone, it was just the other day we were joking around. I wish you knew the impact you made on me alone, you changed my way of thinking. Because of you I have faith. You made me believe that I can make the impossible possible. You are a great man. You are and always will be in my heart, I wish it wasn’t your time. RIP Sandy, all my love.
Student.
Sandy my man, To-day the school is silent, but for the sound of our tears. Your death was one of our greatest of fears. It wasn’t your time to go. All of us, your friends, your family, are crying NO NO NO. I was heartbroken when I was told.
Student.
Sandy. You were so loving and caring. You always gave a hand. Not only a teacher, but a friend. We could always count on you to be there. God came and took you away. So for the time being, till one day we meet again, you are always in our heart. You wonderful man.
Student.
Sandy, you embodied the type of educator who saw the kids, heard their words, encouraged their ideas, met their expectations, laughed with them and shared their grief. I knew not about the passion from your words, as you covered for me in my illness. I know from the lips of the students, from the tears they have shed in your absence. Sandy, you found your place, at home with a bunch of kids that needed someone like you to see them flourish. Though you left far too soon, I can only but smile that the last moments were great, meaningful, proud and happy times.
