Our last large dinner in 2019 focused on harmony and attracted 340 people from several faiths and many cultural backgrounds. Please see the 4-minute clip of the 2019 event that captures some of the flavour of the event. We have had speakers from a variety of faiths and cultures over the years to share and celebrate diversity.
In 2023 we aim to involve 250-300 participants in our focus on “Identity and Voice”. The keynote speaker: Uncle Andrew Gardiner is a proud Wurundjeri clansman of the Woi-wurrung people and an Aboriginal Muslim Australian. He is a member of the First Peoples’ Assembly of Victoria is the independent and democratically elected body to represent Traditional Owners of Country and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in Victoria. The evening is sponsored by the Commonwealth Government and supported by Wyndham City. Joanne Ryan MP and the Mayor of Wyndham will speak. Other features of the program are displays, discussions, musical performances as well as the shared meal.
