Refugee Week 2020, the year of Welcome.

At a time when we need to come together whilst we are apart, online events have become our new normal.

From where ever you are joining us today, Wyndham CEC acknowledges the traditional custodians of country throughout Australia and their connections to land, sea and community. We pay our respect to their elders past and present and extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

At a time of isolation, it is more critical than ever to highlight the beauty in our diversity, and the contributions made by refugees to our arts and culture. Through the photographic expertise of Chris Hopkins, and the magical artistic talent of John Mathet we celebrate refugee week, and we say welcome.
